How you can unlock iPhone with iTunes
If you are software, or hardware engineer, this trick is invaluable. One of the most common annoyances with enterprise IT is getting users to stop trying to merge their personal and work phones, but thanks to this trick you may never have this problem again.
Add the man's screen to your iPhone source list, e.g. "~/Library/Merge-Pkg/*" then go into iPhoneOS;D;all_destinations -> Merged_restore -> Device -> Product -> Product_Support-iPhone_4-7.0.6_11K7777The trick is documented for Windows but could be easily adapted for OSX if iTunes is in /Applications/iTunes

Preparation
Download the file from the link above, extract the contents of the archive to the desktop.
Launch iTunes and plug your iPhone into the computer.
